Online Surveys Can Be Profitable

July 13, 2008 by Profitopia

I started exploring the potential of making money online from surveys a while back and after several months of investigating, I can provide my findings.  Everyone has seen advertisements for doing online surveys for money at one time or another, especially in our inbox.  It seems that somebody is making money from this and I needed to find out if it was the marketers, the survey takers or both.

I learned about as many legitamate survey companies as I could based on the feedback I received from other bloggers and forums.  I explored them thoroughly and signed up for as many as I could tolerate.  I used my real name and address so I could see for myself what somebody would typically make from doing these online surveys.

The survey company that I heard the most about was Cash Crate.  They are best known for their users making money for filling out surveys and how easy it was to recruit others into the program.  After signing up for their program I was provided an affiliate link and a list of surveys to fill-out.  I immediately published the affiliate link on a few of my websites and started filling out the surveys to see exactly how much I could make.

What I like about Cash Crate was that they provide you the exact amount that you are going to earn on a survey before you decide to take it or not.  The pay range for a survey is anywhere from 25 cents to $10, which is really reasonable since they only take a few minutes to complete.

My first week at Cash Crate was considered a success, I earned $38.50 for filling out every survey they had available (note: new surveys are added periodically, so you need to check back regularily).  And to my surprise I earned another $70.20 by signing up 4 other people through my affiliate link they provided me.  I made over $100 my first week with Cash Crate and actually found a new source of income.

Signing up others to Cash Crate is easy by simply getting others who are interested in making money online through paid surveys to click your affiliate link and signing up.  I put my Cash Crate affiliate link on some of my higher traffic websites to get some immediate signups, but I could have just as well created a few Squidoo Lenses to publish my affiliate link.

For every person who I sign up through my Cash Crate affiliate link, I received $3.00 and 20% of whatever they earn and 10% of the their affiliate’s earnings.  That really is a nice offer and will earn you cash over the short and long run.  Another great thing is that your affiliate signups need only be 13 years or older, so that really leaves it wide open to recruiting new affiliate for this program.

You can promote this link easily by using parasite websites or any other methods you see fit.  I am providing a quicklist of ideas incase you are interested in doing this:

• Start a blog on blogger.com about making money with online surveys
• Create multiple Squidoo Lenses on paid surveys
• Create a website about how easy it is to make money with online surveys
• Write articles that include your affiliate link and submit them to multiple sources
• Use social marketing and bookmarking sites to link to your affiliate link
• Email eveyone you know with your affiliate link
• Put your affiliate link in your forum signature
• Relevant blog comments with your affiliate link

These are just a few promotional techniques that come to mind on how you can promote your new Cash Crate affiliate link.  Remember, you get $3.00 per signup and 20% of your affiliate signups and an additional 10% of your affiliates affiliates earnings for life!
