10 Things I Do To Eliminate The Competition

July 25, 2008 by Profitopia

Everyday I strategize how to eliminate the competition, I’m talking about how to make my website stand out from other competing websites.  I’ve got to be faster, smarter and use ingenuity to leave my competition in the dust.  How do I do this you ask?  I eliminate the competition by doing the following:

  1. Update my website more frequently
  2. Concentrate on original content
  3. Provide expert advice that actually helps my readers
  4. Build backlinks to my website relentlessly
  5. Optimize my website in every way possible
  6. Utilize paid online advertising
  7. Utilize free online advertising
  8. Offline advertising
  9. Social networking
  10. Prioritize Tasks

I nurture each area of the points mentioned on a daily basis and am always willing to add or take away from this list if I think it will get me further ahead.  Since I have a fulltime job and can only afford to spend a certain amount of time exploiting this website, my strategies need to be calculated and produce results.

It’s been 15 days since launching Profitopia dot net and things are going well considering the newness of this website.  I’ve managed to attract 40 Feedburner subscribers and am receiving hundreds of unique visitors per day.  My goal is to grow these numbers exponentially in the coming months to make this website one of my most profitable yet.

I own many other websites, somewhere in the 60’s on my last check, but only 4 of them are blogs.  They too are experiencing positive results in the search engines and continue to produce a solid income.  I don’t update them very frequent these days, but will be injecting some much needed content into them all very soon.

If you plan to succeed using the blog business model, you need to know how to eliminate your competition.  Providing you a glance into how I am surging ahead of millions of other blogs will hopefully inspire you to consider how you too will eliminate your competition so your blog succeeds.
